6. Principal’s Comments – Dr. Anna Crawford

●        Never been a better time to be a Panther. Academically, we reviewed our data with the superintendent last week, and we are very pleased with it at this point. Last week, we highlighted our Early Warning Systems processes and highlighted our data from last year at our board workshop, and I want to take a moment to really recognize our staff, students, and parents for the hard work that goes into our school. We have the most dedicated staff, and I am grateful for each one of them.

●        We are in the second week of Conference Weeks and really appreciate our staff and our parents taking the time to talk about the success of our students. We held our school wide Math Madness competitions yesterday and Tropicana Speech contests today. Tomorrow, our kindergarten classes will be visiting the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine and on Thursday, 2nd and 5th grades will be visiting Sea World for educational field trips thanks to the generous support of our PTO. On Thursday, we are also revving up for grades and welcome anyone with a motorcycle to meet us at the GSB in Bunnell to parade in at 7:45. No school for students on Friday, and the week of March 16th is Spring Break.  We will have a Summer Camp Showcase here in our cafeteria on Thursday, March 26th, and Super Sons will be here on Friday, March 27th. On March 30th, we begin our Awards Week, will host Terrific Kids on Tuesday 3/31 and our Community Problem Solvers are scheduled to compete at the state level Mar. 29-April 1st. So March is shaping up to be quite busy!

●        The Corona Virus is something that we are continuously getting updates on and our dist. Is publishing the latest data as it comes out. They encourage parents to utilize the website: FloridaHealth.gov/COVID-19. Wash, wash, wash your hands!!!

●        BrainPOP recommended for students as education for Corona Virus.
