Fill vacancies of the WES-PTO Executive

vote of the Executive Board. Vacancies include Secretary and between 1 and 3
Vice-Presidents. (The Bylaws require 1 Vice-President, but allow for up to 3
Vice Presidents at any time)
■ Executive Board nominees are current WES PTO members expressing a willingness to serve on the PTO Executive Board. They include Betty Abreu, Katilyn Bennett, and Jilean DeCristoforo for Vice-President and Jennifer Incropera for Secretary.

Discuss removing the Outdoor
Classroom breakout in the monthly Financial Statements
■ The Bylaws do not require this breakout.
■ This will make the Financial Statement easier to understand
■ This will allow more flexibility in planning spending
■ There is nothing preventing the WES PTO from using these funds towards an Outdoor Classroom, or any other vision of the WES PTO
■ Motion to vote in favor of this change by Danelle Green
■ Motion seconded by Bob Hamlin

Discuss and Plan for Back To School Jam, Meet The Teacher, and Teacher’s Lunch
occurring between August 6 – 8, 2023
■ Danelle Green and Bob Hamlin to represent WES PTO at Back To School Jam August 6. Danelle will make hair bows for purchase. We will have last year’s hair bows and shirts to sell. We will provide a sign-up sheet for e-mail addresses. When the shirt order form is ready, it will be emailed to those signed up, as well as be posted on the PTO website and FB page
■ The Meet the Teacher function will be centered in the WES Cafeteria from 10 AM until 3 PM on August 8. PTO will have a table there, where we will offer remaining bows and t-shirts, and collect e-mail addresses and answer questions. Bob Hamlin and Danelle Green will attend, as well as some other volunteers.
■ The Teacher’s Lunch will be provided by WES PTO from noon – 1 pm during Meet the Teacher on August 8. We discussed 4 proposals from local vendors, and chose the Jimmy Johns proposal as it was the least expensive and most appealing at $983. We will need to purchase drinks separately.
